About NyxBoost
NyxBoost is made by one person. Here is why it exists, the principles it keeps and what it is built on.
How it started
I always wanted my computer to be truly mine: a system that does what I want, not the other way round, and that I can shape to myself — from how it looks to what runs in the background. Windows has plenty of settings, but they are scattered across dozens of windows, registry keys and forum tips that rarely explain what exactly changes and how to undo it.
That is how NyxBoost came about: a program that gathers these settings in one place, shows honestly what will change and lets you undo any change with one click. The project is young and updates come often — see What's new.
Who is behind it
An ordinary guy learning to live and work on the internet and experimenting with everything around — code, design, systems. A lot of time and a piece of myself went into NyxBoost. I want to make something genuinely useful for people that can also pay for itself. That is why everything that protects and repairs your system is free forever, while Premium adds conveniences for those who want more and is a way to support the project.
Principles
- Nothing without your consent. Every change shows “before → after” first, the old values are saved, and one click undoes it.
- Windows protection stays on. NyxBoost does not turn off Defender, the firewall, UAC, SmartScreen or Windows Update.
- No made-up numbers. No “+40% FPS” promises: you can measure the effect on your own PC in FPS Lab.
- No ads, no selling data. What the server keeps and why is in the privacy policy.
- Everything is documented. Every setting with its exact registry values is in the knowledge base.
What NyxBoost is built on
- A Windows 10/11 program on .NET 8; one file, nothing to install.
- FPS measuring uses Intel PresentMon (MIT licence): it is not bundled — it is downloaded from Intel's site on first use and checked by its hash.
- The site and the account server run on Cloudflare, sign-in is with Google, payments go through Stripe, which acts as the seller and handles cards, taxes and refunds.
- The VirusTotal report for the current build is on the main page.

The project needs people who can help spread the word: bloggers, reviewers, anyone who enjoys tuning Windows. Found a bug, have an idea or want to work together — write to support@nyxboost.com.
