Reliable changes and personal recommendations
- Profiles and recommendations: a system profile with the status of every check; recommendations with the reason for this PC, type, confidence and risk; 6 built-in profiles that adapt to laptop or desktop, SSD or HDD, memory size, Windows version and policies; custom profiles with import and export, comparison and undo.
- App-wide search (Ctrl+K): sections, settings, actions.
- First-run window: what NyxBoost does, a read-only scan, choosing a scenario. It can be opened again from Settings.
- Crash recovery: interrupted operations are found at start-up, compared with the actual state and offered for undo; an unfinished gaming session too.
- Settings import with validation; NyxBoost remembers the last section you opened.
- Startup: SHA-256 hash and a check that the file exists.
- Scheduling for scenarios that change nothing: a visible Task Scheduler task with normal rights, runs without a window, report to a file.
- The log records the intent before a change; the result is checked for every setting; new "Partially applied" status.
- By default, undo does not overwrite values changed after NyxBoost (by you, another program or Windows), and shows such values.
- Power plan changes from Diagnostics and automation are now logged and can be undone.
- A security report made without the main Defender running is always marked "incomplete", with a list of reasons.
- Cleanup reports skipped (in-use) files.
- Security: system utilities run only from the Windows folder — a fake utility placed next to NyxBoost can no longer run with administrator rights.
- Cleanup never works in a drive root, the user profile, personal folders or AppData roots, even if the temp folder is set up wrongly.
- An original registry value is no longer treated as missing when it could not be read.
- Restoring a startup entry does not overwrite an entry that was added again.
- Before ending a process, NyxBoost checks that its ID is not already used by another program.
- Removing Store apps can no longer hang.
- Only one copy of NyxBoost can run at a time.
