Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling
The graphics card schedules its own work instead of the CPU. Requires a graphics card and driver with WDDM 2.7+ support.
Expected effect
May slightly reduce latency and CPU load. Changes nothing without driver support. Needed for DLSS Frame Generation.Possible side effects
With old drivers some games may show artifacts or crash. Fixed by reverting. What exactly changes
| Registry key | Value | Type | New value |
|---|---|---|---|
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers | HwSchMode | DWord | 2 |
How to undo it
Before a change NyxBoost saves the previous values; "Revert" brings them back and removes those that did not exist before.
- In NyxBoost: Recovery → “Revert” next to this setting's entry.
- Without the program: open the Registry Editor (regedit), go to the key from the table and put back the previous value — NyxBoost records it in its change history.
How NyxBoost checks the result
After applying, NyxBoost reads the values again and compares them with the expected ones. To see the real effect on your PC, use FPS Lab: it measures the same game before and after.
