Turn off the network limit for multimedia
Windows limits network packet processing while sound or video plays. The tweak removes this limit.
Expected effect
May help with high network speeds during media playback. In-game ping usually does not change.Possible side effects
Slightly higher CPU load with an active network. What exactly changes
| Registry key | Value | Type | New value |

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile | NetworkThrottlingIndex | DWord | 0xFFFFFFFF |
How to undo it
Before a change NyxBoost saves the previous values; "Revert" brings them back and removes those that did not exist before.
- In NyxBoost: Recovery → “Revert” next to this setting's entry.
- Without the program: open the Registry Editor (regedit), go to the key from the table and put back the previous value — NyxBoost records it in its change history.
How NyxBoost checks the result
After applying, NyxBoost reads the values again and compares them with the expected ones. To see the real effect on your PC, use FPS Lab: it measures the same game before and after.
