Show file extensions
File Explorer shows "report.pdf.exe" in full instead of "report.pdf".
Expected effect
An important safety measure: it makes an executable disguised as a document easier to spot.Possible side effects
When renaming a file it is easy to change the extension by accident. What exactly changes

How to undo it
Before a change NyxBoost saves the previous values; "Revert" brings them back and removes those that did not exist before.
- In NyxBoost: Recovery → “Revert” next to this setting's entry.
- Without the program: open the Registry Editor (regedit), go to the key from the table and put back the previous value — NyxBoost records it in its change history.
How NyxBoost checks the result
After applying, NyxBoost reads the values again and compares them with the expected ones. To see the real effect on your PC, use FPS Lab: it measures the same game before and after.
