NyxBoost power plan for games
Its own plan based on High performance: no core parking, the processor never drops below 100%, aggressive boost, no PCI Express or USB power saving, disks never sleep. Desktop PCs only.
Expected effect
Less "wake-up" delay for the processor, video card, mouse and keyboard. Most noticeable in light competitive games at high FPS; in heavy games the average FPS usually does not change.Possible side effects
The processor does not slow down when idle: more heat, noise and power use. Undo brings back the previous plan and deletes the NyxBoost plan. What exactly changes
| Registry key | Value | Type | New value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Active power plan | High performance |
How to undo it
Undo switches back to the previous power plan and deletes the NyxBoost plan.
- In NyxBoost: Recovery → “Revert” next to this setting's entry.
- Without the program: Control Panel → Power Options → choose the plan you used before.
How NyxBoost checks the result
After applying, NyxBoost reads the active plan with powercfg /getactivescheme. To see the real effect on your PC, use FPS Lab: it measures the same game before and after.
